There won’t be a new season of “ The Bachelorette ” this summer, Variety has learned.

EXCLUSIVE: The Bachelorette won't be giving out any roses this summer. ABC is pausing its female-led spinoff of The Bachelor, which will be a blow for fans of the long-running dating series. The show generally starts production shortly and the last three seasons have aired in July.

It’s typical to see about a third of the contestants sent home on Night 1. Joey Graziadei eliminated 10 of his starting 32 in Season 28, and before him, Zach Shallcross sent 10 of 30 home. Grant Ellis started with fewer women and therefore didn’t have quite as many Night 1 goodbyes.

ABC's long-running reality dating series won't be returning for season 22 in Summer 2025, following Grant Ellis' current season of The Bachelor, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. It wasn't immediately clear ABC's reason for the pause or when the series would return.
