Alex Van Halen confirms that a Van Halen album fronted by Ozzy Osbourne was almost a reality in the early 2000s.

Van Halen had little left to prove as an albums artist or live act. After releasing four albums in just over three years and having completed massive tours in support of each album, the band were ready for a break by the end of 1981.
