Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been flooded with spam after he asked federal workers to send an email listing what they got done in a week. Users posted about their spam emails on the subreddit FedNews—an unofficial platform for federal employees to discuss work.

Some federal agencies, including the State and Defense Departments, told their employees not to respond to an email asking for a list of tasks they completed.

Musk’s directive to federal employees to justify their jobs falls flat as the Office of Personnel Management says it's safe to disregard his message.
