Lord of the Rings actor says he’s ‘had enough’ of franchise
A Lord of the Rings star has “no plans or desires” to return to Middle-earth for a new franchise. While Sir Ian McKellen has revealed the condition under which he’ll return as Gandalf, one of his co-stars – Hugo Weaving – does not share his enthusiasm for The Hunt for Gollum, which will star and be directed by Andy Serkis.

But while Andy has confirmed he will reprise the role – and be the film’s director- his former co-star Hugo Weaving is not on the same page. The Slow Horses actor, who played Elrond in the original films, said he had ‘absolutely no desire’ to be a part of Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
