INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a person was killed in a shooting outside a hotel on Indianapolis' southwest side Wednesday evening. The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. Oct. 16 in the 2600 block of South Lynhurst Drive, near Sam Jones Expressway.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the man's body was found in an alley at the 600 block of W. 29th Street, near the intersection with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
