Ferrari's F80 moves the game on from the LaFerrari it effectively replaces with more power and more advanced, race-derived technology.

Ferrari on Thursday unveiled its new limited edition supercar, which incorporates features from Endurance motor competitions and Formula 1 and has already sold out despite its 3.6 million euro ($3.9 million) base price tag.

Ferrari has unveiled the F80 hypercar, the successor to the LaFerrari and stuffed full of tech from Ferrari's Formula One and World Endurance Championship entries

The F80 will make over 1,200 CV, or 1,184 hp, from its V6 hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful road car to ever roll out the doors at Maranello, Ferrari says.

Ferrari launch the 1,200 hp top-of-the-range $4.2 billion F80 hybrid. All 799 of the limited-edition supercars have already been sold.

This vehicle is the latest creation from the Maranello house, joining a select range of models that began with the Ferrari 288 GTO in 1984. Its production will be limited, and it's also one of the most expensive in history.
