For the first time in his career, Zack Sabre Jr. has reached the summit of NJPW. Sabre defeated Tetsuya Naito in the main event of King of Pro Wrestling 2024 on Monday to become IWGP World Heavyweight Champion for the first time ever.

On New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. The event featured multiple title changes. Among others, KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight beat the Bullet Club War Dogs to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
