Stelson hit Perry, a retired brigadier general with the Army National Guard, on veterans’ issues, saying he voted against bills to provide healthcare to vets exposed to harmful emissions from burn pits in Iraq and to fund housing for homeless veterans. She noted that he was the only member of Pennsylvania’s congressional to vote against the bills.

Throughout the debate, which remained civil, Perry and Stelson practically agreed on immigration policy and term limits.
