Using voice chat - English - Second Life Community
Click the Sound & Media tab. Make sure the Enabled checkbox next to Voice Chat is selected. Check that the Voice Chat slider is at a good level (it's halfway by default) and not muted. Click Voice Input/Output devices and confirm that the Input is set to a microphone that your computer recognizes and can hear.
