PanOptix experience 4 weeks after cataract surgery & advise
Jul 4, 2021 · The right eye is the one with the PanOptix lens implanted. In 2019 it went to -10.00 and before the cataract operation it was probably -16.00 (that’s a guess, my doctor didn't tell me the power, I will ask them next time for my records). The right was practically blind, even with a -8.00 contact lens.

Mixed lens Panopitix and Vivity? | Cataract | Forums - Patient
Dec 25, 2020 · Other than cataracts, my eyes are in great shape. The doctor recommended Panoptix for my non-dominate left eye (the one with the wore cataract). If I love it go with it for my right eye. If I have issues go with the Vivity in the right eye. From my understanding Panopotix will hopefully give me slightly better intermediate and better near vision.
Panoptix or Vivity and will 1 eye done only work
Apr 19, 2021 · The choices would be a multifocal like the PanOptix, EDOF like the Vivity, or just another monofocal that leaves you somewhat near sighted (-1.25 D or so) so you can read with that eye. That is called monovision and can be done with the monofocal but also with the Vivity or PanOptix. Most common to do it with a monofocal though. Also, least costly.

I had the trifocal PanOptix put in both eyes October 2019 - About nine months ago. It was such a huge decision. I know that anxiety, not only about the surgery, but making a very important decision on what you have implanted in your eye for the rest of your life. I am very happy with the lens, but my vision was horrible to begin with.
Bad near & intermediate vision after Panoptix Multifocal
Jun 29, 2020 · I had developed cataracts in 2018 at 34 yrs of age in my Dominant Eye. Recently had surgery on 6/18/20 with Alcon Panoptix put in. 3 days later i had pretty good distance 20/30 and holding at that 10 days after surgery. However my near and intermediate is pretty poor. I cant read my phone and anything within 15 feet is blurry.
